What to Expect
St. Paul Lutheran Church believes, teaches and proclaims the historic Christian faith of the Holy Scriptures as explained in the Lutheran Confessions. We strive to remain true to the Gospel of salvation by God's Grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His Work for our redemption.
St. Paul Lutheran Church worships using the form of worship that Christians have used since the earliest centuries of the church (the historic Christian liturgy). It is Christ-centered worship, drawn from the Scriptures, and it serves as a beautiful and meaningful setting for the preaching of the Gospel Word and the administration of the Sacraments. We see worship primarily as God's Service to us as His redeemed people, where He brings us His blessings (forgiveness of sins, salvation from eternal death, peace with God, eternal life with Him). And as God Serves us, we give Him our thanks and praise for His blessings to us, and we strive to serve Him with our whole lives. In our liturgy, our worship, we are united with Christ, and with Christ's true church, His People throughout the world, throughout all ages, in heaven and earth.
St. Paul Lutheran Church is made up of people from diverse backgrounds, a reflection of the truth that the Gospel is for all people. We seek to be a picture of the unity that God's people all over the world have in Christ, and a witness of the Gospel of Christ to our community and to the whole world as a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
St. Paul Lutheran Church welcomes you to come again to hear the Gospel with God's people here. Should you ever desire a greater understanding of the Lutheran faith or should the Holy Spirit move you to become a part of our fellowship, we encourage you to speak with our pastor about membership classes.
We hope to see you soon! The Peace of our Lord be with you!
I Am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His Life for the sheep. . . . My sheep hear my Voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I Give them eternal Life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
